  1. Amazing comfort and design!! Even for huge hands 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Oct 2017

I have huge man hands, and I was concerned about the vewlix type layout of buttons and closeness to the joystick. After using the joystick, I can say it is so comfortable!!! It is amazing. I feel like the top of the stick is on a very slight slope, downwards from back to front. So the front edge of the box does not dig into my fore-arms, like some other brands. In addition to the downslope, the front edge has an beveled edge, so it is more gentle on the fore-arm as well. The box top, is super sturdy, and there is no wobbling or weak points in this stick. It is a tank!

The joystick and buttons are standard sanwa and perform perfectly.
    The box is designed wonderfully.
    I highly recommend!

  2. Great Stick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Oct 2017

I got an Obsidian to replace a Qanba Q4 and almost didn't; the Q4 was sturdy, still felt like the day I'd taken it out of the box and would've easily kept going if I'd just thrown an adapter on it. The Obsidian hasn't dissapointed in the slightest, however. The stick/buttons feel great and the whole thing feels a little lighter in my lap without being flimsy.

The aesthetics are also nice. The artwork (if it can be called that) is boring and the laborious process of replacing it is a definite negative, but it overall looks great. Unfortunately, I have extremely large meathook hands and replacing the tiny insignifigant ball top with a bat is mandatory for whatever stick I use, so I don't get to enjoy the shiny ball top; I replaced it with a clear acrylic bat top and it looks just as nice.

The only other complaints I have are the lack of flip-open top and the start button being in the top button row and not even on one end of it, meaning you have to go hunting for it when you need it. Neither of these are a big deal and I certainly wasn't going to splurge an extra hundred bucks for the Dragon just for easier inside access since even if I do any heavy modding it's not like I'll be opening it every day.

  3. Surprised with how light it is. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Oct 2017

I've never owned a fightstick this light, but the Obsidian is just to sturdy any stick I've ever played. The LEDs on the side are pretty cool, and even if that's not your thing they're not distracting at all, and you can turn them off. It's got a slew of good features, and it does what it's supposed to do. Definitely give this one a shot.

  4. Lightweight. Feels great. Looks awesome. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Oct 2017

I've owned no less than 10 sticks since I started playing fighting games in 2010. This one feels the best by far. I'm a bit of a sanwa fanboy, but there really is no better choice in my opinion. My partner has a different brand's stick, and he keeps asking me to borrow mine because it is so nice. I especially love that it seemlessly works on PC and has all of the functionality buttons on it (such as ps4 touchpad) unlike other brands. Love this stick.

  5. Second stick I've owned 5 Star Review

I can't say I am too knowledgeable on sticks, but this stick definitely feels amazing and I have 0 issues with. You definitely won't regret your purchase.

  6. One of the best ive owned 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Sep 2017

Ive bought a ton of different sticks over the years but this one has to be one of the best. Amazing design. Probably the most comfortable stick ive ever used. Sanwa parts are always the best but the cab is so well designed it made me wanna write a review. There is no question this stick is worth $200. High quality products from Qanba as always. This will be the only stick i use for sure.

  7. Top notch arcade stick from Qanba! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Sep 2017

This is my first premium fight stick, my first fight stick for modern gaming, and it's extremely difficult to nitpick at the Obsidian for faults. It has a very solid build quality, Sanwa JLF joystick and OBSF buttons that feel as you'd expect them to (top shelf parts,) headphone jack, touchpad with clickable surface, compartment for your cable (which by the way has 2 holes on opposite ends of the compartment door so you can run your USB cable with the door closed), X and D input, turbo, and has LEDs with different modes on the sides of the unit, away from distraction. It feels premium just holding it and playing on it.

My only complaint is that the compartment door is sealed extremely tight and takes some muscle to open. I believe Qanba did this to make sure the compartment door lasts a long time, but other than that, there are no other complaints about the Obsidian. I am fully satisfied and looking to buy the Aegis for it next. Kudos to eightarc for prompt communication and handling time.

  8. sturdy 5 Star Review

    best available for the price

  9. My second stick 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Sep 2017

The Stick is great and if you can get it with a coupon even better. The joy stick is in between the Hori Hayabusa and the razer panthera in terms of stiffness and looseness. I don't like the gloss buttons and i wish the LED button was placed behind the L3 button instead of being ahead of the option button.

  10. First Arcade Stick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Aug 2017

Seriously satisfied with the stick. Qanba makes top notch products. The case itself has some heft to it, enough to remind you its there, but not enough to be cumbersome in my opinion. Next move is to get an Aegis to carry this baby around.
